Study Abroad
From Australia to the West Indies and everything in-between, there are countless opportunities to experience study abroad. International study is extremely rewarding and an excellent complement to your academic coursework.
Although it is not a requirement of the International Development Studies (IDS) program, it is highly recommended that you take part in international study and/or other experiential learning opportunities as part of your degree.
The University of Guelph offers many opportunities for study abroad including international exchange, field schools and summer language and research programs. These are coordinated by the Centre for International Programs (CIP). Visit the CIP website for more information on study abroad programs.
In addition, Guelph Institute of Development Studies also often offers international development-related summer field schools in Canada and internationally.
